This unique museum does not conserve objects or artefacts but gives space to stories, voices and images which evoke the past of the surrounding landscape and the memories of its inhabitants.
The focal point of the collection is the Nazi-Fascist massacre which took place on the 23rd August 1944 at the Padule di Fucecchio.
This is a museum where the visitor can compare and contrast History and its traces, also thanks to numerous didactic activities for schools and families. In this way the individual can develop the necessary tools for reading primary sources, witness accounts and documents.
