Other routes less famous but very suggestive are: the Romea Strata (from Fucecchio to Gambassi Terme), the Strada Verde (the route leading to Leonardo’s birthplace), the Via Medicea (from Fucecchio to Vinci), the Via di Castiglioni in Montespertoli and many others.

Nature lovers can enjoy suggestive excursions in the Upper Valley of Carfalo, in Montaione, among hot springs and secular trees (link) or just admiring the Padule di Fucecchio’s fauna (link), the largest inland wetland in Italy.

The heart of Tuscany has always been a land loved by cyclists: there are many roads and paths along which to cycle with family, with friends or alone. Expert cyclists or simple amateurs, everyone will find their own right path.
