Limite sull’Arno
The different town districts compete in these competitions which take place every year along the Arno river using the unique local boats known as “gozzi“. In the Palio con la Montata (with the “climb”), after finishing, a member of the crew has to climb the rope to claim victory.
During the week of the Palio the town is bought to life with food stalls and performances.
